Y
Tecsia is the founder and Artistic Director for Ross Dance Company, LLC. She is a director,
choreographer, dancer, and instructor. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and
Dance from the University of California, Berkeley. She has studied and worked with Carol Murota, Lisa
Wymore, Joe Goode, David McCauley, and Derrick Minter, rehearsal director of Ailey II. Ross has
danced for over 12 years in jazz, modern, hip hop, and praise dance. Her choreography has appeared
at Merce Cunningham and Joyce Soho in New York City, Madrid Theater in Los Angeles, Laney College,
UC Berkeley’s Dance Department, C.O.L.O.R Danz, JAMZ dance videos, music videos, and several
National Dance Competitions. Ross has been teaching hip hop, modern/jazz, and praise dance for
studios in the Bay Area for over 8 years. Ross was also part of the staff for the Alvin Ailey dance camp
at UC Berkeley.

In addition to working hard in dance, Ross is also a Ph.D student in Clinical Psychology. One of her
plans is to do a community outreach programs using the dynamics of dance and psychology. Ross’
biggest goal is diversifying the dance community. Her work such as (Evening of Soulful Modern Jazz
{2005}, Testimony {2006}, Speak {2007}, To Evolve and Stay Young {2009} explored the challenges
and empowerment of spirituality, women gender roles, strength of sisterhood, domestic abuse and the
power of freedom. Her intent behind her work is to highlight and comment on the social discourse that
individuals face in their relationships, spirituality, and society. Ross strides to invite the audience into the
stories of social discourse by connecting with their mind, emotions and soul.
KIMBERLY MARTIN
LORAN CLAY
Kimberly is a performing dancer and certified personal trainer residing in the East Bay Area. She has
danced for nearly 15 years training in jazz, ballet, modern, praise, hip hop and salsa and has
performed and danced competitively for numerous studios and dance squads. She has performed
and choreographed for theater and dance performances. She was accepted into and attended the
California State Summer School for the Arts on a dance scholarship in 2004 where she studied under
Cynthia Young, Scott Putman, and Damien Davis as well as many other noted teachers and
choreographers and has studied under Evelyn Thomas in Laney College’s Dance department and
Antione Hunter as a company member in Urban Jazz Dance Company. Currently she is the head
dancer for Ross Dance Company and is very excited to be with the company this season.
CAROLE BIERS
Carole began her dance training in Scottsdale, Arizona where she was trained in jazz, ballet, tap, and
hip hop. She recently graduated magna cum laude from Chapman University with a BFA in Dance. At
Chapman she began her training in modern dance and received Outstanding Freshman 2006,
Outstanding Performer 2008 and 2009. She was given the opportunity to perform at the American
College Dance Festival, Dancing under the Stars Festival, and Los Angeles Dance Invitational. Carole
is currently living in San Francisco and is excited to be dancing with Ross Dance. She would like to
say thank you to her friends, family, and teachers for all their support.
HANNAH YANOW        
Loran Clay has received formal dance training in ballet, tap, modern and hip-hop beginning at age six
in her hometown of Los Angeles. She attended Florida State University to pursue a B.S. in
Communication Disorders and immediately moved to San Francisco to obtain a M.S. in order to work
as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She began dancing again in 2006 with Antoine Hunter’s
Urban Jazz Dance Company. She actively leads and choreographs for her church praise dance
ministry at Covenant Worship Center in Berkeley. She is also a co-coordinator for the Bay Area Praise
Dance Festival and Conference. She will be featured as a guest artist for Ross Dance for her second
season. She plans to dance the rest of her life.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Hannah Yanow began her professional training at age 12 with
Brooke Byrne and the Khadra International Dance Troupe, and Elvia Marta at San Francisco’s School
of the Arts. She has participated in professional intensives with Alonzo King's Lines Ballet and the
Mark Morris Dance Group. Hannah continued her studies at the University of Oregon, and graduated
in June 2009 with a BA in Family and Human Services and a Minor in Dance. Hannah is currently an
intern at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and a volunteer at CommuniTree, a non-profit
group that is dedicated to social and environmental justice through arts and service learning. This is
her first season with the Ross Dance Company.
TIANA CURRY
Tiana Curry was born and raised in Berkeley, California, where she attended Covenant Worship
Center and began praise dancing at the age of 9 years old. Later she attended Berkeley High School,
taking classes in the arts such as Afro-hatian/ West African dance, and Dance Production. Now
attending Diablo Valley College, Tiana is taking classes in visual and performing arts. She is excited to
be apart of Ross Dance as an apprentice, and is looking forward to growing as an artist.
