$25 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Ross Dance Company is having our annual $25 fund raising campaign. The funds
that are raised will help us offset costs for our Bay Area productions and allow us to
offer a low-cost summer dance conference for youth in Oakland. Ross Dance
proficiently uses dance to communicate relevant social, political, and spiritual topics
to audiences around the nation and within the nearby community. This season for
one of our outreach projects we will be partnering with domestic violence agencies to
present “Speak” at Berkeley High and Cast lemony High School in Oakland. “Speak”
is a project that uses dance and spoken word to share the intimate and real life
stories of inspiring survivors of domestic abuse. The goal of this project is to
contribute to the anti-violence campaign by educating our youth about domestic
abuse.

Thus far, the company has received generous grant support from the City of Oakland
Cultural Funding Program. With their support along with the revenue produced from
our classes and performances we now only need $2600 to cover our expenses for
this season. We are asking that you please support in helping us reach our fund
raising goal by donating $25 or whatever you feel comfortable giving. Your donation
is 100% tax-deductible. Our hope is to reach our fundraising goal by April 15,
2010. The current and future success of Ross Dance is profoundly attributed to the

diversify the dance community with praise dance classes, guest classes at Berkeley
High School, and counseling upcoming dancers and dance administrators through
our apprenticeship and internship program.

In the same way our company uses dance to enhance the community that created it, I

our current dance programs and dance company. If you are a Ross Friend who is a
corporate supporter you are given the opportunity to publicize your business to over

you are given ticket priority to all performances, enrollment priority in all classes, and

Ross Dance is an “up and coming dance company in the Bay Area,” as stated in the
Oakland Tribune, with talented choreographers and dancers that make our
performances dynamic and unique. The current and future success of Ross Dance is

52% of our annual operation costs are covered by dance classes and ticket sales, we
