Ross Dance proficiently uses dance to communicate relevant social, political, and
spiritual topics to audiences around the nation and within the nearby community.  We
diversify the dance community at UC Berkeley with courses in jazz, African and hip
hop dance, enlighten youth at Berkeley’s Covenant Worship Center with praise
dance classes, mentor youth at Oakland’s Bay Area Technology School with our after
school dance program, and counsel upcoming dancers and dance administrators
through our apprenticeship and internship program.

In the same way our company uses dance to enhance the community that created it, I
am asking you to enrich the future of Ross Dance as a
Ross Friend.  Ross Friends is
our rewarding support program that enables you to help us maintain the strength of
our current dance programs and dance company. If you are a Ross Friend who is a

corporate supporter
you are given the opportunity to publicize your business to over
10,000 people by placing your company’s information on our website, performance
programs and company posters.  You would also receive ticket priority and backstage
passes to all performances. If you are a Ross Friend who is an
 individual supporter
you are given ticket priority to all performances, enrollment priority in all classes, and
email notices on all Ross Dance monthly news and events.

Also, since we are sponsored by Dancers' Group, a 501C3,  the noble contribution
you give to Ross Dance is 100% tax-deductible.  Furthermore, your contribution will
make you part of Ross Dance’s dedication to uplifting the arts community here in the
bay area.

Ross Dance is an “up and coming dance company in the Bay Area,” as stated in the
Oakland Tribune, with talented choreographers and dancers that make our
performances dynamic and unique. Among our staff we have jazz instructor Antoine
Hunter, who dances for Savage Jazz, as well as former Oakland Ballet dancer Amy
Malepeai.  For the 2007-2008 Performance Season, I am excited to work with my
quality staff in presenting "Speak" a work that discusses the issues of domestic
violence among women.  Ross Dance will perform "Speak" at Laney College in
Oakland, Los Angeles Community College, and Joyce SoHo in New York City.

The current and future success of Ross Dance is profoundly attributed to the
contributions we receive from the community.  Since only 52% of our annual
operation costs are covered by dance classes and ticket sales, we must rely on
outside support to operate financially.
Please, become a Ross Friend and be a part
of our positive impact on the community!
